So i purchased 3 bundles of Kinky Straight hair from a Canadian based Hair company called kinkycurlyyaki. As described
by the Company “Kinky straight is Steam processed to mimic 4C natural Black
hair that has been blow dried straight. Our Kinky Straight hair weave can be
cut, washed, conditioned, dyed, flat ironed, roller set, flexi-rodded and more."

I originally
wanted to purchase the Coarse Yaki, pictured below,
but since it was out of stock I went with the Kinky Straight, which is slightly coarser but was practically identical to my natural hair in its blow-dried state, so I left out my hair out on the top half portion of my head (about 1/4 of my hair to blend in with the Hair extensions, My natural hair length at this stage was about 11 inches long when straightened so it blended seamlessly with the 14, 16 and 18 bundles I purchased. And most people thought it was my real hair. Well they were half right! This is a great hair option for natural haired girls who dont have relaxed hair and want a protective style that will add length to their mane.

The style pictured below was achieved with putting my
hair in Bendy Rollers overnight and unraveling them the next morning, creating
these tight curls at the bottom.
And the
loose waves in the other two sets of pictures were achieved when I attempted to
curl my hair with hair curlers
the curls always dropped after about an hour or
so, especially in hot weather ,no matter what style I put it in it would always
revert.Only the Bendy rollers created a long-lasting curl effect.Which were super cheap at £1.95 and free UK delivery so i got myself about 3 packs.
I had to
treat these Hair extensions as my own hair, making it quite high maintenance, I
washed it regularly with Tresemme Naturals shampoo and Conditioner, This hair is DENSE,again just like my own but now with the added length ,it took a lot of product to tame and weigh it down, the leave in conditioner I applied was Palmer's Coconut oil hair milk with Vitamin E from root to tip and to give it a nice sheen I used Motions Oil Sheen & Conditioning Spray With Sweet Almond Oil which has the nicest smell ever! If there is one thing I cannot stand is
hair sprays that make your hair smell stanky, this
product has a sweet almond scent and for the price I purchased comes in a huge bottle. I straightened it practically every other day with Tresemme Heat Defence Spray and John Frieda Frizz Ease Extra Strength 6 Effects Serum.I used many other products but these were the main ones that i used on a regular basis.
So in
conclusion
Pros
Looks Natural
Durable
Minimal Shedding
Cons
High Maintenance
Doesn't hold a heat curl
Price
14 inch $116.50
16 inch $121.50
18 inch $126.50
Would I buy this hair again? Yes ,maybe in the future and
with a different Hair texture, but after rocking this hair for a long time I want
to experiment with different styles.
