OOTD:SPRING NIGHTS LOOKBOOK:SUMMER FLOWER CHILD HOME

Makeup Revolution Haul

Tuesday 23 June 2015 / , ,

Hey Guys,i  took the plunge a few days ago to try out the relatively new make up brand ; Make up revolution, its available in Superdrug and on their online store ,i purchased everything from their online store as some items ..like the eyeshadow collection was not available in my local area. The brand is quite similar to GOSH Cosmetics and MUA in terms of pricing, its very affordable! but the quality so far has proven to be very good. They do free shipping and my order came in secure packaging, everything bubble wrapped and safe,no leakages or breakages so in terms of service 10/10.

Bronzer

Okay so the first item that i really wanted to tryout was a bronzer, having never used one before i wanted to have a try with a lower end one to play around with it and see how it suits me.The Baked Bronze Golden Days Bronzer from makeup revolution is slightly lighter than my skin tone so i could us it as a highlighter, with this brand a lot of their beauty products are actually dupes of higher end ones, with saying that ;this bronzer could be said to be a dupe for 'Mac Mineralized skin finish gold deposit'.This will give my skin a natural sun kissed look with a subtle shimmer,However it is very pigmented so should be applied lightly,For £4 this will go a long way!

Lipsticks

Liberty Matte is my new fave!

Each of these Iconic Pro Lipsticks are £2.49 each (in order of swatches) i bought the  Liberty matte,It eats you up Matte,No Perfection yet and Blindfolded. The quality of the packaging and cases are really good ,very sleek and classy looking.

All of them roll on very well, even the mattes and they look great, they don't dry out my lips or make cracks after wearing it for several hours. For £2.49 you can easily build up a good collection with a variety of colours,i only bought 4 to test out the quality but I will definitely be getting more.

Eye Primer

To my surprise this eye primer came in a light brown colour, similar to  that of my complexion,i would have preferred it to be a pasty white so when applying eye shadows it would stand out more, the consistency as well was a bit too oily, and considering i already have oily skin/combination to oily skin this is not so great for me,a pass on this one.It was only £1.50  so i guess you get what you pay for on this one.

Fixing Spray

i have used the fixing spray a few times, the spray comes out in a nice evenly distributed mist,it doesn't really have a smell and it sets my makeup well without feeling like I'm wearing a mask,so its a thumbs up for this one,it seems to do the trick, but i would need to compare it to other fixing sprays to really come to a conclusion about it,in general its pretty good, and of course i had to get the Pro Fix Oil control spray, there is another Pro Fix spray for normal skin and they both come in at £5.

Eye Shadow Pallete

This is called the Awesome 100 Eyeshadow Collection ,for £12 this pallete comes with a mixture of Neutral and Vibrant Colours, some Shimmery and some Matte,it comes with two application brushes and a little mirror in the middle, not that any body could take it out on the go with them ,its huge. Its a great starter kit for anyone that doesnt have a lot of makeup or even a good addition.

Mascara

This Mascara was literally a £1,very cheap and does the trick,i think other mascaras I've used crate a more dramatic look but for the price its not too bad.
For the low prices that some of these makeup up product comes in i would definitely recommend trying out a few.The majority of their makeup range are very pigmented, are long lasting and work wonders.
