OOTD:SPRING NIGHTS LOOKBOOK:SUMMER FLOWER CHILD HOME

Montserrat

Thursday 9 October 2014 / , ,

On our last day in Spain, the plan was to trek up Montserrat Mountain, this was going to be a challenge considering we all went to bed in the early hours of the morning,we had gone out the previous evening and after only a few hours of sleep and we were back on the road, but we caught up with our beauty sleep on the train.Montserrat is an amazingly stunning Benedictine monk mountain retreat about one hour North West from Barcelona by train.
We boarded on an aerial cable car to transport us closer to the base of the mountain.

Along the way of our walk up to the monastery ,we were able to see the view of Catalonia and several works of Christian Art dedicated to saints.

After hours of walking and trekking we made it near enough the peak of the mountain and monastery to call it a day.

If we had gone further we would have been able to see the Black Madonna in the basilica Montserrat monastery and visit  the holy grotto, but time was not on our hands so we started making our way back down to head home!

Thanks for reading,
Forever Amber
