Perfect 365 Review

Monday 21 March 2016 / , , , , ,

Lest face it,we all use filters on our photos at some point ,whether its to colour correct or create stylized effects. The FREE Mobile Phone App 'Perfect 365' takes this to a whole new level ! with multiple  filters to create different makeup looks.

I use this app occasionally to fine tune pictures of myself that are super close up,below is a photo i took of my my face with the front camera of my Iphone ; no filter ,which i will be using as an example. The App requests you to upload an image of yourself, and for it to work well  and 'detect' your face it must be angled straight forward.

It then draws key points around  your eyebrows, eyes, nose ,lips and cheekbones where the filters will be applied. These points can be edited and moved around to make it more precise.

The Make up looks are Separated in different categories such as Everyday,Chic,Romantic etc,all of them by default softens the the texture of your skin to varying degrees, some remove the bags underneath your eyes and then add blush and different eye shadow colours and even your eye colour.Have a look at some of the results.

A cool new feature of the App is that with some make up filters, they now have instructions complete with illustrations on how to recreate the look in real life and what kind of outfit would suit the look.

Some of the filters are a bit out there and frankly quite scary, mostly the ones found in the Wild Category lol, unless the scary barbie look is what you are aiming for you really wont need to use Fantasy or Goblins..

You also have the option of making alterations manually and  step by step and, these are the features that i actually use sometimes from the App.

With the foundation feature i use this orange-ish  colour to infuse some more warmth and radiance back in my face that might have been lost when taking photos under harsh fluorescent lights. The varied selection of Skin tones is impressive 28 in total varying from very light, pink, yellow, orange and darker brown hues.

To soften my skin,i usually keep the strength  below the 25% mark ,anything above that and you will look like an airbrushed painting.
Pictured below is what the skin softening effect looks lke at 100%

The Lipstick feature also works quite well and it looks realistic if you apply it on low levels, less is usually more.

Eye shadow feature applied manually....

The Eyelashes are usually the biggest giveaway that a pic has been edited with this App,they look very fake and cartoonish unless you have them on a low opacity and already had fake eyelashes on in real life,I don't usually use this feature.

Everything from the Shape of your face,to the size of your eyes can be altered, made slimmer ,bigger ,longer. Its probably best to avoid using any of these unless of course you don't want people recognizing you in person haha. It is however funny looking at the different cartoonish results,it depends what you are using the App for.

And Voila !...
The final result can then be saved on your phone or directly shared to Instagram and other social media networks.I would give this App a 4.5 rating out of 5, Its works very well but there is also some room for improvement.

Thanks for Reading
